My Netgear DG834G V3 router has been working fine wirelessly with AOl, but now it has stopped working.?
I set up my router with AOL broadband on my laptop and got it all working wirelessly fine for about a month, then I started getting intermittent connection, and now it won't connect at all unless I plug in the yellow ethernet cable. I have tried re-installing the disc that came with the router but that won't sort it. All the logical things like making sure cables are connected properly etc. It goes through the process on the set up disc, then at the end it says that it cannot detect the router even though half way through the set up it says everythings fine. I have also tried just about everything it says on the AOL help pages.
What am I doing wrong!!! Would really appreciate some help with this. Could Vista be anything to do with it?
Does the wireless adapter in your laptop work anywhere else?
If so, its the routers signal dying or being drowned out.
If you cannot connect at a "free wifi spot" somewhere else either, its your internal wifi card thats bad.
It was the NETGEAR in the office with the low gain antenna!
