SATA Hard Drive
SATA hard drive is also known as Serial ATA hard drive. SATA hard drive is made for easy installation . One cannot set any kindof jumpers, terminators and many other kinds of setting on sata hard drive for availing correct operation. Basically the jumper block which is adjacent ot the sata interface connector on sata 150MB drive is made for factory consumption.
If someone is using serial ata interface then every drive carries their own cable which is connected directly to the serial ata host adapter and serial ata port on the motherboard. One cann't see master-servant bond between the drives which is using Serial ATA interface.
One can also made the usage of serial ata hard drive in the same system along with parallel ata drive if both interfaces are connected with the mother board and host adapter. This facility make easy addition of sata harddrive compatibility to the system without displacing existing parallel ata drives. One can do installation in two ways by using sata hard drive like Installation in a Windows System , Installation in a Macintosh System .
One should follow certain handling precautions while doing installation with the help of sata hard drive. As these sata hard drive are sensitive to static electricity one should wear wrist strap while installation. Also turn off the main power switch during installation . One should not merged the drive as it will void the warranty. Besides all this don't put pressure on the top of the sata hard drive. One should install it in the computer system by applying appropriate device driver as per the installation instrucitons given by host adapter company.
